where's ma'am dang?!
Philippine General Hospital celebrated their 100th Year Anniversary last August 17. Julius and I (for the first time alone together) joined in the celebration, as we watched Bamboo and several other bands perform despite a heavy downpour on the evening of the actual anniversary date, with my mother and her wild colleagues (who turned Bamboo-fan converts after the concert).
And as part of their celebration, the PGH official photographer, Mr. Ador, who also happens to be sort of a family friend (he did the video and photo coverage of my sister's 18th birthday back in 2001, the photos of which were still yet to be recovered as we still have to pay for the balance which according to Mama was only 4000p, jeez..), did the PGH's official centennial photograph. I am sure damn proud to see my mother's face in this giant tarpaulin banner (I gave up looking for her until she pointed herself, in the picture, to me). It will be on display all over the PGH premises until the end of the year.
